How Grandma got hooked on Wii
I have been thinking about this lately, what are the old folks been doing in their free time? Are they just watching television, reading books and newspapers, listening to the radio or knitting? Are they only limited to these activities because of their age?
If you let them know that there are other things that they can do aside from that, then maybe they would love to learn how to do it too. When people reach a certain age - let's say 60 or above, they tend to stop from engaging in physical activities because they often say that thee can no longer do them but this should not be the case. They still have to be active regardless of age. But what should they do? It's your task as grandchildren to introduce them other types of past times that can also enjoy.
A good solution is to teach them a few Nintendo Wii games. I know there are also some people who are afraid of technology and won't even try it but don't lose hope. You can always show them that it's easy to operate the Wii stick and they will be comfortable with it in the long run. There are certain games in Wii that will help them cope clinical depression if they have it or make them more physically active because they can use it to exercise.
Who said that Wii is only for kids? If could only demonstrate the use of Wii to all ages from all walks of life, I'm sure they will love it too!
